Biography

Bob Batt is an Associate Professor in the Department of Operations and Information Management at the Wisconsin School of Business. His research interests are in statistical analysis of operational challenges in emergency medicine, both from patient and provider perspectives. His collaborations with UW Emergency Medicine researchers have touched on topics such as the quality impacts of patient handoffs, the impact of crowding on probability of admission, and the impact of crowding on post-ED care use.

Professor Batt received his PhD from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2013. He also holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College as well as engineering degrees from Dartmouth College and Wheaton College.
