Dr. Michael Pulia tapped for The Wall Street Journal article

This week The Wall Street Journal asked Dr. Michael Pulia, a leading researcher in antimicrobial stewardship, to provide commentary on a recent study by about antibiotic prescribing without a doctor visit.

"43% of all outpatient antibiotics for Medicaid patients in 2012 were either non-visit based or non-infection related," says Dr. Pulia, whose research here at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and UW Health focuses on the better use of antibiotics​. “It’s very, very problematic.”
