Biography

Dr. Megan Gussick is part of the EMS Section team that works closely with prehospital providers and is committed to ensuring patients receive high quality care both in the ED but also, just as importantly, in the prehospital setting.  Dr. Gussick has worked in the prehospital setting in the Madison area for almost 15 years, and through this experience, she believes that EMS serves as the critical link to the local health care system through the ED. With such a huge potential impact, Dr. Gussick is committed to ensuring that these patients receive high quality and innovative prehospital care. She currently serves as the Medical Director for the Madison Fire Department and Dane County Tactical Team, as well as a flight physician with UW Med Flight. She is committed to the education of UW Emergency Medicine residents and UW medical students about the structure, function and impact of EMS providers and prehospital medicine.
