Dr. Lohmeier completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Washington University in Saint Louis, and subsequently stayed for an EMS Fellowship. He is currently an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and the EMS Section Chief for the University of Wisconsin BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine. He holds Board Certification in Emergency Medicine and EMS, and is a Fellow of both the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP) and the Academy of Emergency Medical Services (FAEMS).

Assistant Professor (CHS)

Dr. Mancera completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Michigan State University in Grand Rapids, and his EMS Fellowship at the University of Indiana. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine for the University of Wisconsin BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Mancera serves as Medical Director for several local agencies including Middleton EMS and FitchRona EMS, and is a member of the State of Wisconsin Physician Advisory Committee. He currently holds a Centennial Scholars Award from the UW, and serves as director of our ACGME-accredited EMS Fellowship. Dr. Mancera has a specific interest in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and prehospital education as driven by Quality Assurance efforts. He holds Board Certification in Emergency Medicine and EMS, and is a Fellow of the Academy of Emergency Medical Services (FAEMS).

Dr. Gussick completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and subsequently stayed for an EMS Fellowship. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine for the University of Wisconsin BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine and serves as Medical Director for the Madison Fire Department (MFD). She is the lead Physician for our Medical Student Education initiatives and has a strong interest in Tactical Emergency Medical Services (TEMS).

Dr. Steuerwald completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Cincinnati, as well as his EMS Fellowship. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Wisconsin BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine. He is the current Medical Director for the University of Wisconsin Emergency Education Center, and oversees the Primary Paramedic Education Program. Dr. Steuerwald is the Medical Director for UW Med Flight and a current Flight Physician. He is and avid Airway Enthusiast, our local expert in difficult airway management and the Assistant Medical Director for the Difficult Airway Course - EMS. He holds Board Certification in Emergency Medicine and EMS.
