Biography

Dr. Dana Resop works as Emergency Medicine faculty in both UW and VA emergency departments as well focusing on resident point-of-care-ultrasound education. Prior to residency, Dr. Resop graduated from the University of Wisconsin where she earned a bachelor of science in animal sciences and went on to earn her Medical Doctorate at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

After completing her emergency medicine residency and an emergency ultrasound fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, she spent several years working as a community emergency physician and managing a community emergency medicine ultrasound program. Since then, she returned to her alma mater and the BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine full-time to dedicate more academic time to her passion of medical student, resident and fellow education, particularly in point-of-care-ultrasound.

Dr. Resop previously served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Wisconsin chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (WACEP).
