The pediatric emergency medicine physicians at American Family Children's Hospital treat children from birth to 18 years with emergent medical needs.
Our staff is specifically trained to address the unique physical, emotional and development needs of children. Our pediatric emergency medicine physicians complete pediatric emergency medicine fellowships and are board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine.
Ranked among the top children's hospital in Wisconsin and the nation, the American Family Children's center has also been recognized as a "Leader in LGBT Healthcare Equality" in the Healthcare Equality Index 2018 report. The annual survey is conducted by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the educational arm of the country's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) organization. The American Family Children's Hospital has earned top marks for the last five years for its commitment to equitable, inclusive care for LGBT patients and their families, who can face challenges in accessing adequate healthcare.
