Last week, Dr. Manish Shah found out that his K24 was officially funded. It extends to 2022 and is valued at $954K! The funding comes from the National Institute of Aging and will directly contribute to our department’s national ranking, as well Dr. Shah's national ranking.
The award will support Dr. Shah as a mid-career investigator – to develop his research and mentoring skills – especially mentorship of those focused on patient-oriented, geriatric emergency care research. In addition, the grant will support Dr. Shah’s efforts at expanding telemedicine and community paramedicine research to benefit elderly Alzheimer patients in the community.
Please take a moment to congratulate Dr. Shah, and the rest of the research team, on reaching yet another milestone.
